The law — plain and simple

"Every employer shall appoint one or more competent persons to assist them in undertaking the measures they need to comply with health and safety law." Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 — Regulation 7

That is not optional. It applies to every single employer in the UK — whether you have 1 person or 100, whether you are a sole trader or a limited company. No minimum size exemption.

Can we really put your adviser's name on our tenders and SSIP applications?

Yes — that is exactly what the service is for. Once you have signed up and payment is complete, you have full permission to use your allocated adviser’s name, qualifications and certifications on any tender, PQQ or SSIP accreditation application for the duration of your agreement. This is a legally recognised arrangement and is standard practice across the industry.

How quickly can we get set up?

Same day in most cases. Once payment is received we allocate your adviser, prepare your documentation and send everything across. Most clients have everything they need within a few hours of signing up.

Does this actually satisfy SSIP requirements like CHAS and Constructionline?

Yes. Having a named, NEBOSH or IOSH qualified competent person on record satisfies the H&S competence requirements for CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS and most other SSIP schemes. We can advise on exactly what each scheme needs when you get in touch.

What if we need something that isn't included — like RAMS or a Construction Phase Plan?

No problem at all. These are available on an ad hoc basis and we’ll give you a straightforward price before we start. There is no pressure to take anything extra — the packages cover the vast majority of what most contractors need day to day.

We're a small business — is this right for us?

Absolutely. In fact most of our clients are small or growing contractors — sole traders, limited companies with a handful of employees, subcontractors trying to get onto approved lists. The legal requirement applies regardless of size, and our service is specifically designed to be straightforward and affordable for businesses like yours.

What's the difference between Package 1 and Package 2?

Both packages include exactly the same adviser arrangement — same credentials, same 12 months of support, same permission to use our name on tenders. Package 2 simply adds the full document library on top: 40+ completed risk assessments, 70 toolbox talks, 30 COSHH assessments, a full suite of company policies and a business growth toolkit. If you want everything in one go and never want to worry about finding documents again, Package 2 is the one.

What happens when the 12 months is up?

You simply renew at £595 + VAT per year to keep your adviser status in place. If you have Package 2, all your documents remain yours to keep — the renewal just maintains the adviser arrangement and your ongoing support.

Is our information kept confidential?

Completely. All client information is held securely and is never shared with third parties. Your adviser relationship is private and professional — the same standards you would expect from any qualified professional service.
